MODE OF ACTION
Beclotrim is a mixture of Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone dipropionate.
Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal agent which interferes with ergosterol synthesis and therefore alters the permeability of cell membranes of susceptible fungi.

Corticosteroids after binding to the receptor, the steroid-receptor complex binds to chromatin and stimulates the formation of mRNA. The mRNA stimulates the synthesis of enzymes. The antiinflammatory action is due to inhibition of prostaglandin and leucotreine synthesis.
